Abstract

The subject of this paper is the perception of the value of higher education among police officers. The basic idea is to examine whether police officers perceive higher education as important in terms of the quality of performance of police affairs and tasks and in terms of advancement in the service. The dependent variable is the perception of higher education while the independent variables include: gender, age, current level of education, years of experience in the service and the type of work and tasks within the police organization. The main goal of the research is to describe the perception of police officers about the value of higher education. The research instrument that was applied is a survey on the perception of police officers about the value of higher education in the context of the quality of their work and the possibility of advancement in the service. This means that the general attitudes of police officers on the value of higher education for the police will be presented and described, as well as the relationships between the dependent variable and the independent variables.
